A Fun Blend of Engineering and the Arts

Inspired by the antique Kinetoscope movie viewers, this kit enables you to assemble your own gear-driven movie machine playing cartoons of your own design. Once assembled, rotate the handle and you’ll watch the photo frames play as an animated movie! Includes 2 sets of pre-made cartoon panels plus one set of blanks for your own creation (the blank backsides of the panels also serve as additional cartoon templates.

The wood components are laser-cut for a precision fit. Their ‘no-tool’ assembly allows kids to focus in on the actual process. All parts are connected using different sized rubber bands and plastic snap clips – no glue is needed. 

Features 167 parts and 66-page illustrated manual. Assembled model measures approx. 24 x 24 x 11 cm. Entry level assembly skills are required but this project is best built together with an adult. Assembly Challenge: Low (1 hour)
